Liposomal Vitamin D in Patented Liposhell® Technology

Vitamin D belongs to the group of highly hydrophobic vitamins, which do not dissolve in water. Suspending vitamin D in phospholipid bilayer of LIPOSHELL® liposomes allows for accurate dose control.

The small liposomes of 120 nm (+/- 20%) in diameter guarantee high bioavailability of the drug for the organism. Well designed and optimised liposomal formulation was based on the results from the molecular dynamics studies, for precise location of the vitamin D in the lipid bilayer.
